Resumo: The mushroom is popularly used both in food and medicinal use and the genus Pleurotus known as Salmon mushroom is cultivated period in the rainy season, which is when the mushroom grows in planks, tree trunks. The objective of this work is to present an integrative review of the genus Pleurotus, and the results were detected 8 articles found in the database related subjects about the mushroom that is important both for our health and for our food because it is rich in protein, fiber and vitamins and the intention of obtaining a low-cost biotechnological by-product. Final considerations presented that are of great importance the use of mushrooms for food industries due to the presence of protein sources and great potential for cultivation

O objetivo desse trabalho é apresentar uma revisão integrativa do gênero Pleurotus, e os resultados foram detectados 8 artigos encontrados na base de dados assuntos relacionados sobre o cogumelo que é importante tanto para nossa saúde como para a nossa alimentação por ser rico em proteína, fibras e vitaminas e o intuito de obter um bioproduto biotecnológico com baixo custo.
