Aplicação da corrente interferencial (CI) no manejo da dor crônica: revisão de literatura com análise metodológica

Resumo: Introduction: Electrotherapy is one of the most researched and discussed therapeutic resources in the scientific field. A search for non-pharmacological therapies for chronic pain management is not new to physical therapy, so if necessary always be up to date on what are the best resources and best therapeutic methods. Objectives: To analyze the current scenario on scientific production, including an interferential current in pain management, emphasizing the methodological quality of the manuscripts. Methodology: A collection was performed in the databases: PEdro, Medline and Pubmed with scientific articles from digital journals, using as keywords: Chronic Pain (Chronic Pain), Electrotherapy (Electrical Stimulation), Interferential Current (Interferential Current) and Physiotherapy. The articles were selected according to the inclusion criteria, read and imposed by the methodological quality. Results: Eight studies with a sample of 775 patients were included. The methodological quality of the selected studies was good, with an average of (6.88 ± 1.13) on a scale from 0 to 10 (PEDro). In general, the parameters used in the articles for carrier frequency were 4Hz and 100Hz for amplitude modulated frequency. Conclusion: It was observed that the current literature presents a level of methodological rigor classified as good, but still has methodological flaws evidenced after analysis, thus, even more rigorous studies are performed for more reliable results with lower risk of viability of research.

A busca por terapias não farmacológicas para manejo da dor crônica não é uma novidade dentro da fisioterapia, por esse motivo se faz necessário sempre estar atualizado sobre quais os melhores recursos e melhores métodos terapêuticos. Objetivos: Analisar o cenário atual acerca da produção científica relacionada a corrente interferencial no manejo da dor, dando enfoque para a qualidade metodológica dos manuscritos. Metodologia: a coleta foi realizada nas bases de dados: PEdro, Medline e Pubmed com artigos científicos de periódicos digitais, utilizando como palavras-chave: Dor crônica (Chronic Pain), Eletroterapia (Electric Stimulation Therapy), Corrente interferencial (Interferential current) e Fisioterapia (Physicotherapy). Os artigos foram selecionados de acordo com os critérios de inclusão, lidos e avaliados pela qualidade metodológica. Resultados: Oito estudos com uma amostra de 775 pacientes foram incluídos. A qualidade metodológica dos estudos selecionados foi boa, com média de (6,88±1,13) na escala de 0 a 10 (PEDro). Em geral, os parâmetros usados nos artigos para a frequência portadora foram de 4Hz e 100hz para frequência modulada em amplitude.
