Resumo: The Baiano West is a region located in the northeastern cerrado nationally known for the production of grains. There are authors who report the region as one of the most important agroindustrial regions of Brazil. Based on this idea, this paper aims to present the agribusiness in the West of Bahia, having as main focus the studies and publications concerning soy and cotton. In this sense, the objective of this article is to present a bibliometric study on agribusiness, focusing on soybean and cotton. Doing this, through the use of the production of published scientific knowledge about the West of the last 20 years. This promotes a prospective analysis of the region.

Existem autores que descrevem a região, como sendo, uma dentre as mais importantes regiões agroindustriais do Brasil. Embasando-se nessa premissa, este escrito visa apresentar o agronegócio no Oeste da Bahia, tendo como foco principal os estudos e publicações referentes à soja e ao algodão. Nesse sentido, o objetivo do presente artigo é o de apresentar um estudo bibliométrico sobre o agronegócio, focando na soja e no algodão. Fazendo isto, por meio da utilização da produção do conhecimento científico publicado a respeito do Oeste Baiano dos últimos 20 anos.
