Technological Prospection on the Base of Patent and the Control of Time in the Telework

Telework is the result of advances in information and communication technologies made available to the employer, helping work outside the company's premises, which can generate overtime, without due remuneration. On the other hand, part of society does not even have access to these mechanisms and, in an attempt to facilitate this approximation, through technological mapping through a patent search tool, this study explores patents aimed at telework, according to a legal concept, identifying data about its legal status, its temporal evolution, priority countries, applicant companies, inventors, international classification, among others. During the reading of the documents, 384 patents were selected that allow long-distance communication, for interaction between employee x employer and only 73 patents related to working hours control. The analysis of the numbers collected shows that investments or the adoption of lines of research aimed at this sector are relevant in this moment of worldwide expansion of telework.
