Resumo: This article aims to contribute to the understanding of the history of the notion about linguistic sign in the context of modern linguistics, with an emphasis on the scientific productions of Swiss linguist Ferdinand de Saussure and Russian theorists Lev Semyonovich Vygotsky and Valentín Nikoláievich Volóchinov. For this purpose, biographical aspects will be analyzed as well as the academic production of these authors, besides the theoretical considerations about linguistic sign that have become references to the studies focused on language sciences. At the end this study, it will be presented some epistemological approximations from the works of Saussure, Vygotsky and Volóchinov about human language and the notion about linguistic sign.

At the end this study, it will be presented some epistemological approximations from the works of Saussure, Vygotsky and Volóchinov about human language and the notion about linguistic sign.    Este artículo tiene como objetivo contribuir a la comprensión de la historia de la noción de signo lingüístico en el contexto de la lingüística moderna, con énfasis en las producciones científicas del lingüista suizo Ferdinand de Saussure y los teóricos rusos Lev Semionovich Vygotski y Valentin Nikolaevich Voloshinov. Para ello, se analizarán aspectos biográficos, así como la producción académica de estos autores, además de las articulaciones teóricas en torno a la noción de signo lingüístico que se han convertido en un referente para los estudios centrados en las ciencias del lenguaje. Al final, se presentarán algunas aproximaciones epistemológicas a las obras de Saussure, Vygotski y Voloshinov, sobre el lenguaje humano y la noción de signo lingüístico.    Este artigo objetiva contribuir para a compreensão da história da noção de signo linguístico no contexto da linguística moderna, com ênfase nas produções científicas do linguista suíço Ferdinand de Saussure e dos teóricos russos Lev Semyonovich Vygotsky e Valentín Nikoláievich Volóchinov. Para tanto, serão analisados aspectos biográficos, bem como a produção acadêmica desses autores, além das articulações teóricas em torno da noção de signo linguístico que se tornaram referência para os estudos voltados às ciências da linguagem.
