Professional Education in Higher Distance Education and the role of tutoring for human training

Resumo: | The growth of digital information and communication technologies has shown that various sectors of society have been benefited and have passed by changes with featured for Distance Education, which has evolved with each new technology, such as letter, radio, television, to the internet. Along with this path, it provided greater spatio-temporal reach and reduced the distance between students and teachers. With the internet and the possibility to attend an increasing numbers of students, for the composition of a distance learning course, new actors came on the scene, such as the case of the mediating professor, considered a presential and distance tutor. The tutoring has the function of guiding and monitoring the development of students, as well as assess learning, mediating the process between students and teachers. This study brings as a problematic justification the need to understand of what is tutoring in distance higher education, and aims to reflect on its performance for the human education of students. The research is bibliographic and documentary and uses as arguments and experiences derived from the tutoring process in its arguments, because seeks to discuss its contribution to the students' human formation. The considerations highlight that tutoring in distance education has a primary role for the learning of students in the human formation process, mainly in pedagogical training courses for unlicensed graduates. |

The considerations highlight that tutoring in distance education has a primary role for the learning of students in the human formation process, mainly in pedagogical training courses for unlicensed graduates.El crecimiento de las tecnologías digitales de información y de comunicación han demostrado que varios sectores de la sociedad fueron beneficiados y pasaron por cambios, especialmente la Educación a la Distancia, que fue evolucionando a cada nueva tecnología, desde la carta, el radio, la televisión, hasta la internet. En ese recorrido, se posibilitó mayor alcance espacio temporal y redujo la distancia entre alumnos y docentes. Con la internet y la posibilidad de atender cantidades cada vez más grandes de discentes, para la composición de un curso a distancia, nuevos actores entraron en la escena, como el caso del profesor mediador, nombrado tutor presencial y a la distancia. La tutoría tiene la función de orientar y acompañar el desarrollo de alumnos, así como evaluar el aprendizaje, mediando el proceso entre estudiantes y profesores. Este estudio presenta como justificativa problematizar la necesidad de comprensión de lo que sea la tutoría en la educación superior a distancia, y objetiva reflexionar sobre su actuación para la formación humana de los alumnos. La investigación es de carácter bibliográfico y documental, y además utiliza en la argumentación experiencias y vivencias derivadas del proceso de tutoría, ya que busca discutir la contribución de eso para la formación humana de los discentes. Las conclusiones señalan que la tutoría en la educación a la distancia tiene un papel primordial para el aprendizaje de discentes en el proceso de formación humana, principalmente, en cursos de formación pedagógica para graduados sin profesorado.O crescimento das tecnologias digitais de informação e de comunicação tem demonstrado que vários setores da sociedade foram beneficiados e passaram por mudanças, com destaque para a Educação à Distância, que foi evoluindo a cada nova tecnologia, como a carta, o rádio, a televisão, até à internet. Nesse percurso, proporcionou maior alcance espaço-temporal e diminuiu a distância entre alunos e docentes. Com a internet e a possibilidade de atender quantidades cada vez maiores de discentes, para a composição de um curso a distância, novos atores entraram em cena, como o caso do professor mediador, considerado tutor presencial e à distância. A tutoria tem a função de orientar e acompanhar o desenvolvimento de alunos, bem como avaliar a aprendizagem, mediando o processo entre alunos e professores. Esse estudo traz como justificativa problematizadora a necessidade de compreensão do que seja tutoria na educação superior a distância, e objetiva refletir sobre a atuação dessa para a formação humana dos alunos. A pesquisa é de cunho bibliográfico e documental e utiliza na argumentação experiências e vivências derivadas do processo de tutoria, pois busca discutir a contribuição dessa para a formação humana dos discentes.
