Resumo: This article aims to understand the dialogues published by The Intercept Brasil known as Vaza Jato in the context of the production of scandals in Brazil. By defining Operação Lava Jato as a political scandal, we seek to understand how Vaza Jato's messages impacted the trajectory of the operation and the actors involved. To do so, we carried out a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the repercussion of Vaza Jato in reports from the Folha de São Paulo and Estadão newspapers between June 2019 and December 2021, as well as the political-legal developments that can be associated and in which the findings of the Vaza Jato were mobilized. We argue that Vaza Jato reconfigured positions and altered perceptions of the possible of actors involved in the operation.

Ao definir a Operação Lava Jato como um escândalo político, buscamos entender como a divulgação das mensagens da Vaza Jato impactaram o trajeto da operação e dos atores nela envolvidos. Para tanto, fizemos uma análise quantitativa e qualitativa da repercussão da Vaza Jato em reportagens dos jornais Folha de São Paulo e Estadão entre junho de 2019 e dezembro de 2021, assim como dos desdobramentos político-jurídicos que podem ser associados e em que os achados da Vaza Jato foram mobilizados.
