Resumo: Exploratory study, that characterizes 35 women with HIV/AIDS, assisted at clinics and it proposes nursing interventions. It was accomplished in October, 2004, in a reference service for attendance of HIV/AIDS in Fortaleza-CE. The results obtained through semi-structured form revealed that 52% of the women were in the age group between 30 and 39 years of age, 43% were single, 68% went to school during one to eight years’ time. Most of them informed to be out of the job marked. They professed to be catholic. They live in great urban centers, with scarce financial resources. The nursing interventions should be returned in approaching the disease in your complexity, using clear and objective language. Offer attendance in group, for discussions, as sexuality, use of medicines and available social resources. It’s suggested to implement the attendance with the residence visit, in order to have access to a home like atmosphere to intervene in accordance with the reality.

Foi realizado em outubro de 2004, em serviço de referência para atendimento de HIV/aids de Fortaleza-CE. Os resultados obtidos por meio de formulário semi-estruturado revelaram que 52% das mulheres encontravam-se na faixa etária entre 30 e 39 anos de idade, 43% eram solteiras e 68% estudaram entre um e oito anos. A maioria informou estar fora do mercado de trabalho, professou ser católica e declarou viver em grande centro urbano, com escassos recursos financeiros. Diante desse quadro, as intervenções de enfermagem devem ser voltadas para abordagem da doença em sua complexidade, utilizando linguagem clara e objetiva. Propõe-se atendimento em grupo, para discussões como sexualidade, uso de medicamentos e recursos sociais disponíveis. Sugere-se implementar a assistência com a visita domiciliária, a fim de se ter acesso ao ambiente onde vivem, para intervir de acordo com a realidade.Estudio exploratorio, que caracteriza 35 mujeres con VIH/SIDA, asistidas en una clínica y propone intervenciones de la enfermería. Realizado en octubre de 2004, en un servicio de referencia para atención de VIH/SIDA de Fortaleza-CE. Los resultados que se obtuvieron a través de formulario estructurado en parte, revelaron que el 52% de las mujeres tenía entre 30 a 34 años; el 43% era soltera; el 68% estudió de uno a ocho años. La mayoría informó que está sin trabajar; profesó religión católica y vive en un gran centro urbano, con escasos recursos financieros. Delante de una situación como ésta, las intervenciones de la enfermería deben expresar un lenguaje claro y objetivo, abordando la enfermedad en toda su complejidad. Se propone la atención de las pacientes en grupo, para realizar discusiones sobre sexualidad; el uso de remedios y los recursos sociales disponibles.
