Resumo: In the Hydrographic Basin Itajai River/ SC (HBIR) disasters of great magnitude are frequent, among them those occurred in 1983/84 and 2008. The objective of this research is to analyze the contribution of Environmental Education (EE) to Disaster Risk Management (DRM) in municipalities of BHRI. It is descriptive and explanatory, of a qualitative and quantitative nature. It is based on the method of systemic approach and uses techniques of direct documentation (field research) and indirect (documentary and bibliographic research). The results obtained were: (1) identification of innovative national and international strategies that use Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in AD actions for DRM; (2) critical analysis of the objects and strategies used in the actions of EA for GRD in BHRI; (3) indication of innovative strategies incorporating ICTs that enhance the EE actions implemented at HBIR.

De esta forma, esta investigación tuvo como objetivo analizar la contribución de la Educación Ambiental (EA) y de la Gestión de Riesgo de Desastres (GRD) en los municipios de la CDI. La investigación es descriptiva y explicativa, de carácter cualitativo y cuantitativo. Utilizó el método de enfoque sistémico con técnicas de documentación directa (investigación de campo) e indirecta (investigación documental y bibliográfica). Los resultados obtenidos fueron: (1) identificación de estrategias nacionales e internacionales innovadoras que utilizan Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (TIC) en acciones de EA para GRD; (2) análisis crítico de los objetos y estrategias utilizados en las acciones de EA para GRD en CHI; (3) indicación de estrategias innovadoras que incorporan TICs y optiman las acciones de EA implementadas en CHI.Na Bacia Hidrográfica do Rio Itajaí/SC (BHRI) são frequentes os desastres de grande magnitude, dentre eles os ocorridos em 1983/84 e 2008. A pesquisa tem por objetivo analisar a contribuição da Educação Ambiental (EA) para Gestão de Riscos de Desastres (GRD) em municípios da BHRI, sendo do tipo descritiva e explicativa, de caráter quali-quantitativo. Pauta-se no método de abordagem sistêmico e utiliza técnicas de documentação direta (pesquisa em campo) e indireta (pesquisa documental e bibliográfica).
