Resumo: Este estudo tem o objetivo de utilizar a ferramenta de pesquisa acadêmica como base no tema “Governança Corporativa e Qualidade da Informação Contábil em Empresas Familiares” fazendo uso da plataforma Web of Science destacando os trabalhos científicos já produzidos sobre o assunto. Para isso, utilizou o método da pesquisa bibliométrica, em que são apresentados os principais trabalhos e autores por critério de citação, os temas e teorias mais abordados, a distribuição geográfica da produção, os idiomas predominantes e a evolução e tendência da pesquisa. Resultando em uma análise quantitativa e qualitativa dos estudos direcionados às palavras-chave que foram buscadas. Com o portfólio de dois artigos finais que contribuiriam de forma relevante para o estudo, sendo possível constatar que a estrutura de governança pode exercer influências sobre a concentração de propriedade, e a concentração, por sua vez, influencia a qualidade das informações contábeis.

For this, it used the bibliometric research method, in which the main works and authors are presented by citation criteria, the most discussed themes and theories, the geographical distribution of production, the predominant languages ​​and the evolution and trend of the research. Resulting in a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the studies directed to the keywords that were searched.
