THE PROFESSIONAL MASTERS COURSE IN PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL EDUCATION (PROFEPT) AND THE MEANING OF THIS OFFER OF POSTGRADUATE IN BRAZIL

Resumo: This article aims to present the contributions of the Professional Master’s Degree in Professional and Technological Education (ProfEPT) at Brazilian Graduate Program. It displays a brief history of the Program, which includes the number of applicants, the dissertations defended and the educational products along with the discussion on the offer of master's programs in the scope of Professional and Technological Education, within the Federal Institutes. The study shows that, since its implementation in 2017, three hundred and fourteen dissertations have been defended and their respective educational products were made available for use in professional education, both in High School and University Degrees, in the educational management. In addition, it is the only program that embraces the entire national territory, demonstrating that the demand for training is essential in our country, as well as the need to deepen the discussions around this issue. Hace un rápido histórico del programa, presentando el volumen de inscriptos, las disertaciones defendidas y los productos educacionales en paralelo a la discusión acerca de la oferta de cursos de maestría, en el ámbito de la Educación Profesional, dentro de los Institutos Federales. Se verifica que, desde su implantación en el año 2017, trecientas trece disertaciones fueron defendidas, con sus respectivos productos educacionales disponibles para uso en la educación profesional, tanto para la enseñanza mediana o superior, como en la gestión. Además de eso, es el único programa presente en todo el territorio nacional, demostrando que la demanda de formación aún existe en nuestro país, así como la necesidad de profundizarse esta cuestión.  Palabras-clave: Maestría Profesional. Formación en red. Posgrado.Este artigo tem como objetivo apresentar a contribuição do Mestrado Profissional em Educação Profissional e Tecnológica - ProfEpt para a pós graduação brasileira. Faz um rápido histórico do programa, apresentando o volume de inscritos, as dissertações defendidas e os produtos educacionais em paralelo a discussão sobre a oferta de cursos de mestrado no âmbito da Educação Profissional, dentro dos Institutos Federais. Verifica-se que desde sua implantação em 2017, trezentas e quatorze (314) dissertações foram defendidas com seus respectivos produtos educacionais disponibilizados para uso na educação profissional, tanto no ensino médio ou superior, quanto na gestão.
