Understanding the meaning of healthy living for groups of Adolescents

Resumo: | Given the need to develop new meanings associated with health-disease process of individuals in vulnerable situations, this study aimed to understand the meaning of healthy living for young people belonging to a social inclusion project. This is a qualitative research, with characteristics of action research, happened between May and December of 2008. Data were collected through the preparation and presentation of posters by young people during the group activities, with the following themes: Meanings of healthy living; Knowledge of the human body, sexually transmitted diseases, sexuality and contraceptive methods. The data organized and analyzed using thematic analysis showed that the healthy living for young people is marked by the search for balance and harmony between living in a situation of social vulnerability and opportunities. The healthy living is reflected partly in the practice of sport, leisure, food habits and the cultivation of social welfare. |

The healthy living is reflected partly in the practice of sport, leisure, food habits and the cultivation of social welfare.Frente a la necesidad de desarrollar nuevos significados asociados al proceso de salud y efermedad de personas en situación de vulnerabilidad, el presente estudio tuvo por objetivo comprender el significado del vivir saludable para los jóvenes que integran un proyecto de inclusión social. Tratase de una encuesta cualitativa con caracteristicas de encuesta-acción, realizada entre los meses mayo y diciembre de 2008. Los datos fueron colectados por medio de la elaboración y presentación de carteles, por jóvenes, durante los talleres educativos con la siguiente tematica: Significado del vivir saludable; conocimiento del cuerpo humano; enfermedades sexualmente transmisibles; sexualidad y métodos anticonceptivos. Los datos organizados y analizados por medio del analisis temática destacaron que el vivir saludable de los jóvenes es marcado por la búsqueda del equilibrio y harmonia entre el vivir en una situación de vulnerabilidad social y las oportunidades ofrecidas. El vivir saludable se traduce, en partes, en praticas de deportes, hábitos alimentares y el cultivo del bien-estar social.Face à necessidade de desenvolver novos significados associados ao processo saúde-doença de indivíduos em situação de vulnerabilidade, o presente estudo teve por objetivo compreender o significado de viver saudável para jovens que integram um projeto de inclusão social. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa, com características de pesquisa-ação, realizada entre maio e dezembro de 2008. Os dados foram coletados por meio da confecção e apresentação de cartazes, pelos jovens, durante as oficinas educativas, com a seguinte temática: Significados de viver saudável; Conhecimento do corpo humano; Doenças sexualmente Transmissíveis; Sexualidade e Métodos anticoncepcionais. Os dados organizados e analisados por meio da análise temática evidenciaram que o viver saudável dos jovens é marcado pela busca de equilíbrio e harmonia entre o viver em uma situação de vulnerabilidade social e as oportunidades oferecidas.
