Resumo: This article presents the results of a research with policies and theories of the curriculum field as a chronicle of the present time. The starting point connects Julio Cortázar's short story "O fim do mundo do fim" (1998) and the article "Ecologia dos saberes. Para adiar o fim da escola" (2020). In this article a theoretical line is drawn involving the understanding of the world that begins with its inexorable end in the face of the sociopolitical context in which we currently find ourselves that we define as a conservative neoliberal tsunami (2019), and finally, why we should defend research in university-schools (2020) and which university we want to defend. El punto de partida conecta el cuento de Júlio Cortázar "O fim do mundo do fim" (1998) y el artículo "Ecologia dos saberes. Para adiar o fim da escola" (2020). En este artículo se traza una línea teórica que implica la comprensión del mundo que comienza con su inexorable final ante el contexto sociopolítico en el que nos encontramos actualmente que definimos como tsunami neoliberal conservador (2019) y, finalmente, por qué debemos defender la investigación en las universidades-escuelas (2020) y qué universidad queremos defender. Universidadescuelas.Artigo apresenta resultado de pesquisa com políticas e teorias do campo do currículo como crônica do tempo presente. O ponto de partida conecta o conto de Júlio Cortázar “O fim do mundo do fim” (1998) e o artigo “Ecologia dos saberes. Para adiar o fim da escola” (2020). Neste artigo é traçada uma linha teórica que envolve a compreensão do mundo que se inicia com seu fim inexorável diante do contexto sociopolítico no qual nos encontramos atualmente que definimos como um tsunami neoliberal conservador (2019) e, por fim, porque devemos defender a pesquisa nas universidadescolas (2020) e qual universidade queremos defender.
