PROMOTION OF BOOK AND READING IN BRAZILIAN PUBLIC SCHOOLS: THE NEW LITERARY PNLD

Resumo: | This article aims at presenting and discussing some results of the research entitled “From selection to the act of reading: the books of Programa Nacional do Livro e do Material Didático (PNLD / Literário 2018)”. Our main aim is to verify how the books from that program can be combined with the reading comprehension methodology to transform students from the early years of elementary school in schools, located in the city of João Pessoa-PB, into independent readers. A questionnaire was elaborated and applied to the teachers who participated in the choice of literary works in order to investigate the ways of dissemination and guidance they received to carry out the selection of books. The results point out certain flaws regarding the selection and delays in the distribution of the program’s books. KEYWORDS: Literary PNLD 2018. Selection. Children's Literature. Elementary School. |

Y su principal objetivo es verificar cómo los trabajos de ese programa se pueden combinar con la metodología de estrategias de comprensión lectora para transformar a los estudiantes de los primeros años de la escuela primaria en las escuelas de la ciudad de João Pessoa-PB en lectores autónomos. Con ello, a partir de la elaboración y aplicación de un cuestionario con los profesores que participaron en la elección de obras literarias, investigamos las formas de difusión y orientación que recibieron para realizar la selección de libros. Los resultados apuntan a ciertas fallas en la selección y retrasos en la distribución de las colecciones del programa. PALABRAS CLAVE: PNLD Literario 2018. Selección. Literatura Infantil. Enseñanza Fundamental.Este artigo apresenta e discute alguns resultados da pesquisa “Da seleção ao ato de ler: os livros do Programa Nacional do Livro e do Material Didático (PNLD/Literário 2018)”. Além disso, tem por principal objetivo verificar como as obras do referido programa podem aliar-se à metodologia de estratégias de compreensão leitora para transformar alunos dos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental das escolas do Município de João Pessoa-PB em leitores autônomos. Com isso, a partir da elaboração e aplicação de um questionário com os professores que participaram da escolha das obras literárias, investigamos os modos de divulgação e orientação que eles receberam para realizar a seleção dos livros.
