THE AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES: BETWEEN EDUCATION, ECONOMY AND ENVIRONMENT

Resumo: This article theoretically bases the variables that involve the teaching and performance of Agricultural Sciences, that is, environmental, social, cultural and economic issues. In Higher Education, uniting these segments is a challenge due to the need to promote education that balances agricultural production practices (traditional and sustainable). Thus, this study aims to reflect on the movement of Agricultural Sciences on fronts that positively or not impact socio-environmental development. As a narrative review of the literature, the scientific studies were found in the Bielefeld Academic Search Engine (BASE), Agricultural Research Database (BDPA), Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertation (BDTD), Bibliographic Database/USP (Dedalus), SciELO and Google Scholar. From the analysis, it is reinforced that the performance of the agrarian professional must go beyond the technical attributes, considering that the form of agricultural production adopted affects the social sectors. Economic Development.Este artículo fundamenta teóricamente las variables que involucran la enseñanza y el desempeño de las Ciencias Agrícolas, es decir, los aspectos ambientales, sociales, culturales y económicos. En la Educación Superior, unir estos segmentos es un desafío debido a la necesidad de promover una educación que equilibre las prácticas de producción agrícola (tradicional y sostenible). Así, este estudio tiene como objetivo reflexionar sobre el movimiento de las Ciencias Agrícolas en frentes que impactan positivamente o no en el desarrollo socioambiental. Como revisión narrativa de la literatura, los estudios científicos fueron encontrados en el Motor de Búsqueda Académica Bielefeld (BASE), Base de Datos de Investigación Agrícola (BDPA), Biblioteca Digital Brasileña de Tesis y Disertación (BDTD), Base de Datos Bibliográfica/USP (Dedalus), SciELO y Google Académico. Del análisis se refuerza que la actuación del profesional agrario debe ir másallá de los atributos técnicos, considerando que la forma de producción agrícola adoptada afecta a los sectores sociales. PALABRAS CLAVE: Educación Agraria. Enseñanza Superior. Socio Ambiental. Desarrollo Económico.Este artigo fundamenta teoricamente as variáveis que envolvem o ensino e atuação das Ciências Agrárias, isto é, as questões de ordem ambiental, social, cultural e econômica. Na educação Superior, unir esses segmentos é um desafio pela necessidade de promover o ensino que equilibre as práticas produtivas agrícolas (tradicionais e sustentáveis). Assim, este estudo objetiva refletir sobre a movimentação das Ciências Agrárias diante de frentes que impactam positivamente ou não o desenvolvimento socioambiental. Em caráter de revisão narrativa da literatura, os estudos científicos foram encontrados nas bases Bielefeld Academic Search Engine (BASE), Bases de Dados da Pesquisa Agropecuária (BDPA), Biblioteca Digital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertação (BDTD), Banco de Dados Bibliográficos/USP (Dedalus), SciELO e Google Acadêmico. A partir da análise, reforça-se que a atuação do profissional agrário deve ir além dos atributos técnicos, considerando que a forma de produção agrícola adotada incide nos setores sociais.
