EFFECT OF THE AMETRYN + TRIFLOXYSULFURON-SODIUM COMMERCIAL MIXTURE ON Cyperus rotundus L. SPECIES

Resumo: | The objective of this experiment was to evaluate, at greenhouse conditions, the effect of combined doses (1.0 kg ha-1, 1.5 kg ha-1, and 2.0 kg ha-1) and time of spraying (pre and postemergence), of the commercial mixture ametryn + trifloxysulfuronsodium (A+TS), on Cyperus rotundus L. control, in comparison with the treatments 1.0 kg ha-1 (pre-emergence) + 1.0 kg ha-1 (post-emergence) of the same commercial mixture, and 0.9 kg ha-1 of sulfentrazone in pre-emergence, besides the control treatment (without herbicide). A higher efficiency level was verified in the reduction of dry mass and shoot number of C. rotundus for the post-emergence treatments with A+TS, which did not differ between the applications of 1.5kg ha-1 and 2.0 kg ha-1, or even in 1.0 kg ha-1 in pre-emergence + 1.0 kg ha-1 in post-emergence of ametryn + trifloxysulfuron-sodium (A+TS). However, the treatments in pre-emergence with 2.0 kg ha-1 of the commercial mixture and 0.90 kg ha-1 of sulfentrazone showed to be superior to the remaining, concerning the reduction in number and weight of living tubers. The dose of 2.0 kg ha-1 in pre-emergence was the only efficient treatment in the reduction of C. rotundus, mostly for the evaluation carried out 90 days after spraying. Besides, the estimations of 1.27 kg ha-1 and 1.04 kg ha-1 of the ametryn + trifloxysulfuron-sodium in post-emergency were sufficient for dry mass and shoot number C. rotundus suppression. O objetivo desse experimento foi avaliar, em casa-devegetação, o efeito das doses 1,0 kg ha-1, 1,5 kg ha-1 e 2,0 kg ha-1,nas épocas de aplicação, em pré-emergência e pós-emergência, da mistura comercial ametryn + trifloxysulfuron-sodium(ATS),no controle de Cyperus rotundus L., em comparação aos tratamentos 1,0 kg ha-1 em pré-emergência + 1,0 kg ha-1 em pós-emergência, da mesma mistura comercial, e 0,9 kg ha-1 de sulfentrazone, em pré-emergência, além da testemunha, sem herbicida. Verificou-se maior eficiência na redução da massa seca e número de manifestações epígeas de C. rotundus para os tratamentos com A + TS em pós-emergência, os quais não diferiram nas aplicações de A + TS de 1,5 kg ha-1 e 2,0 kg ha-1, ou mesmo em 1,0 kg ha-1 em pré emergência + 1,0 kg ha-1 em pós-emergência. Entretanto, os tratamentos em pré-emergência, com 2,0 kg ha-1 da mistura comercial e 0,9 kg ha-1 de sulfentrazone, foram superiores aos demais, na redução do número e massa de tubérculos vivos. Somente a dose de 2,0 kg ha-1 em pré-emergência foi eficiente na redução de C. rotundus, principalmente para a avaliação aos 90 dias após a aplicação. Todavia, as estimativas de 1,27 kg ha-1 e 1,04 kg ha-1 em pós-emergência de A + TS foram suficientes para a supressão do número de manifestações epígeas e massa seca de C. rotundus.
