Resumo: This article aims to analyze the notion of auditing and its application in legal discourses, based on the theoretical perspectives of the New Rhetoric (PERELMAN AND OLBRECHTS-TYTECA, 2014) and the dialogical approach of language (BAKHTIN/VOLOCHINOV, 2012). The corpus consists of speeches of the prosecution and the defense, which are parts of a criminal case on the murder of the adolescent Francisca do Socorro, in 1943, in the city of Milagres/CE. In the speeches, we observe that the dialogues become more directed to the social/private audience (BAKHTIN/PERELMAN), since each speaker presents a thesis, sometimes opposing ones, directed to those involved in the judgment.

El corpus está constituido por discursos de acusación y defensa, que son partes constitutivas de un processo criminal sobre el asesinato de la adolescente Francisca do Socorro, en el año 1943, en la ciudad de Milagres/CE. En los discursos, observamos que los diálogos se efectúan más dirigidos al auditorio social/particular (BAKHTIN/ PERELMAN), pues cada orador presenta tesis, a veces opuestas, dirigidas a los involucrados en el juicio.Este artigo tem por objetivo analisar a noção de auditório e sua aplicação em discursos jurídicos, com base nas perspectivas teóricas da Nova Retórica (PERELMAN; OLBRECHTS-TYTECA, 2014) e da abordagem dialógica da linguagem (BAKHTIN/VOLOCHINOV, 2012). O corpus é constituído por discursos de acusação e defesa, que são partes constituintes de um processo criminal sobre o assassinato da adolescente Francisca do Socorro, no ano de 1943, na cidade de Milagres/CE.
