Resumo: | Introduction: The Brazilian Psychiatric Reform was a major milestone in the country's public health history. As a result, the Psychosocial Care Centers (CAPS) arise as part of the composition of the Unified Health System (SUS) executing a decisive role in the anti-asylum fight process. These devices seek to promote care in freedom, promoting autonomy and integration into society in guaranteeing and defending human rights. Seeing clearly the challenges as well as the advances and elements behind the construction of this care network is essential. Objective: Presenting the experiences of the extension project in Juiz de Fora’s city, in order to contribute with the knowledge on mental health. Experience Report: This is a descriptive study which is a result of the experience of undergraduate students in Social Work and professionals in the field of Nursing and Social Work, participating in the extension project “Territory and network: expanding the horizons of action at CAPS Liberdade HU /UFJF”, from Federal University of Juiz de Fora, directed to CAPS/Liberdade HU /UFJF users, during the period from 2017 to 2019. Discussion: The present study highlights the context of dismantling in mental health, bringing the context of the current scenario and discussions about the deinstitutionalization process, implying a reflection according to the cultural dimension of Psychiatric Reform. Likewise, it presents a balance of the potential and challenges experienced at the project. Conclusion: The need to maintain institutions such as CAPS is emphasized, as well as the continuity of projects that value free treatment for users, in order to strengthen bonds and new support networks. |

Resultante dela, surgem os Centros de Atenção Psicossocial (CAPS) como parte da composição do Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS), exercendo um papel decisivo no processo da luta antimanicomial. Esses dispositivos buscam a promoção do cuidado em liberdade, promovendo a autonomia e a integração à sociedade na garantia e na defesa dos direitos humanos. Desvendar os desafios, os avanços e os elementos que estão por trás da construção dessa rede de cuidados integral e intersetorial se coloca como essencial. Objetivo: Apresentar as experiências vivenciadas por um projeto de extensão em um CAPS do município de Juiz de Fora/MG, a fim de contribuir com os conhecimentos em saúde mental. Relato de Experiência: Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, resultado da vivência de graduandas em Serviço Social e profissionais da área da Enfermagem e Serviço Social, participantes do projeto de extensão “Território e rede: ampliando os horizontes de ação no CAPS Liberdade HU/UFJF”, da Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora, direcionada aos usuários do CAPS Liberdade HU/UFJF, durante o período de 2017 a 2019. Discussão: O presente estudo evidencia o contexto de desmonte na saúde mental, trazendo a contextualização do cenário atual e discussões acerca do processo de desinstitucionalização, implicando uma reflexão sobre a dimensão cultural da Reforma Psiquiátrica. De igual modo, apresenta um balanço das potencialidades e dos desafios vivenciados pelo projeto.
