Resumo: Macronutrients concentrations in leave, stem, and root tissues of Schizolobium amazonicum Herb. were determined under greenhouse conditions using the missing element technique. The experimental design was a completely randomized block with four replications and 13 treatments. Seedlings 0.05–0.10 -m high were planted into 3 L pots filled with nutritive solution. Based on the concentrations of macronutrients in the leaves of the complete and the deficient treatments, suitable and deficient levels (g kg-1) of macronutrients for S. amazonicum are: a) suitable: 4 for P; 15 for K; 40 for Ca; 4 for Mg; and 3 for S; 33of B; 5 of Cu; 540 of Fe, 88 of Mn; and 71 of Zn; b) critical: 1 for P; 4 for K; 8 for Ca; 1 for Mg; and 2 for S; 31 of B; 4 of Cu; 140 of Fe; 38 of Mn; and 24 of Zn.

O experimento foi conduzido em casa de vegetação, em blocos inteiramente casualizados, com quatro repetições e treze tratamentos, empregando a técnica do elemento faltante. As plântulas foram transplantadas para vasos de 3 L contendo solução nutritiva, quando apresentavam entre 5 -10 cm de altura. O período experimental foi de sete semanas, sendo então as plantas divididas em raízes, caule e folhas para a determinação dos teores dos elementos minerais nos tecidos vegetais. Com base nas concentrações dos elementos nutrientes nas folhas do tratamento completo e do tratamento com a omissão do nutriente, definiram-se os teores desses nutrientes, como sendo: a) tratamento completo (g.kg-1): 4,37 de P; 15,40 de K; 39,77 de Ca; 3,90 de Mg e 2,70 de S; 33,27de B; 5,48 de Cu; 542,33 de Fe, 88,16 de Mn; e 70,98 de Zn b) tratamento com omissão (g.kg-1): 0,97 de P; 3,80 de K; 7,83 de Ca; 1,03 de Mg e 2,20 de S; 31,28 de B; 4,14 de Cu; 139,67 de Fe, 38,45 de Mn; e 23,77 de Zn.
