A bibliographic review on ontological and epistemological aspects of science: the importance of worldview for Science Education

Resumo: Science teaching does not usually approach the philosophical dimension of science, which involves ontological and epistemological aspects related to a worldview. I present a bibliographical review that is part of a master's research and which aims to identify the thematic approaches mobilized by national and foreign authors of Science Education on ontological and epistemological aspects of science. In the 144 selected articles, there is a recurring discussion about the nature of reality and the possibility of knowing it, in addition to a valuation of the epistemological approach. I analyzed 11 works from this corpus based on historical and dialectical materialism, presenting new perspectives of the philosophical discussion about reality for Science Education.

Presento una revisión bibliográfica que es parte de una investigación de máster y que tiene como objetivo identificar enfoques temáticos movilizados por autores nacionales y extranjeros de Enseñanza de las Ciencias sobre aspectos ontológicos y epistemológicos de la ciencia. En los 144 artículos seleccionados, hay una discusión recurrente sobre la naturaleza de la realidad y la posibilidad de conocerla, además de valorar el enfoque epistemológico. Analicé 11 obras de este corpus basadas en el materialismo histórico y dialéctico, presentando nuevas perspectivas de la discusión filosófica sobre la realidad para la Enseñanza de las Ciencias.O ensino de ciências não costuma tratar da dimensão filosófica da ciência, que envolve aspectos ontológicos e epistemológicos relacionados a uma concepção de mundo. Apresento uma revisão bibliográfica que é parte de uma pesquisa de mestrado e que tem por objetivo identificar os focos temáticos mobilizados por autores nacionais e estrangeiros da Educação em Ciências sobre aspectos ontológicos e epistemológicos da ciência. Nos 144 artigos selecionados, é recorrente a discussão sobre a natureza da realidade e a possibilidade de conhecê-la, além de uma valorização da abordagem epistemológica.
