The article seeks to highlight the influence of the work of professor José Henrique de Faria, and of his theory developed in the field of organizational studies called Political Economy of Power (EPP), in the training, research and performance of psychologists who seek to work with a critical psychology and / or with a critique of psychology. The article presents: (i) a contextualization of what the EPP theory is; (ii) what is meant by critical psychology; (iii) a review of research carried out by psychologists participating in the research group Political Economy of Power and Organizational Studies (EPPEO) that dialogued EPP with different critical approaches in psychology, highlighting the problems of research, empirical fields and which approaches to psychology have been tensioned in dialogues with EPP; (iv) the main conceptual contributions of EPP used in these reflections; and (v) considerations about current constructions and future challenges.
