ARTUROS, THE COVID AND ME: WRITING FROM THE FIELD

In this article, I report on how my process of involvement with the Arturos Quilombola Community developed during the construction of my dissertation during the pandemic period. To register the present time, the context in which the research was conducted and to explain how this researcher's encounter with Arturos occurred, I took the liberty of using escrevivência (Evaristo, 2020), which I appropriated for my dissertation. To this end, in addition to my memory and recollections, I resorted to the records in my Field Journal, messages exchanged on instant messaging applications, and documentary sources such as newspapers and websites. The names of the subjects who pervaded the period reported in the escrevivencia - November 2019 to April 2021 -, were preserved, using the social place in which we lived to designate them. Photographs were used to illustrate the writing experience and to remember the events.
