ANALYSIS OF INSTITUTIONAL SUPPORT AND ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE OF ACCOUNTING COURSES AT BRAZILIAN FEDERAL UNIVERSITIES

Resumo: The changes that have taken place in higher education havebecome a present reality and, as responsible for academicperformance, transform the relevants changes in the last three years, especially in the last three years. Among these, the emphasis on issues aimed at analyzing the institutional support that enable conditions for teaching, research and extension is relevant. Thus, the study aims to analyze the correlation between institutional support and academic performance in Accounting courses at Brazilian Federal Universities. Regarding the methodology, the research isdescriptive, quantitative and documentary, and analyzed a total of 40 courses in Accounting Sciences that underwent ENADE in the last three evaluation trienniums (2012, 2015 and 2018), using descriptive statistics techniques and Pearson correlation. In general, students are based on aspects related to institutional support offered by educational institutions, such as available resources, physical facilities, library, conditions for participation in events, support from monitors and tutors, and extra-class activities, as well as these variables statistical significance and moderate association with the academic performance of the courses.

Dentre elas, ressaltam-se as questões voltadas para análise do suporte institucional que viabilize condições de ensino, pesquisa e extensão. Dessa forma, o estudo objetiva analisar a correlação entre o suporte institucional e o desempenho acadêmico de cursos de Ciências Contábeis de Universidades Federais Brasileiras. Em relação à metodologia, a pesquisa é descritiva, quantitativa e documental, e analisou um total de 40 cursos de Ciências Contábeis que se submeteram ao ENADE nos triênios de avaliação 2012, 2015 e 2018, por meio das técnicas de estatística descritiva e correlação de Pearson. De modo geral, os discentes se mostraram satisfeitos com os aspectos relativos ao suporte institucional ofertado pelas instituições de ensino, como recursos disponíveis, instalações físicas, biblioteca, condições para participação em eventos, suporte de monitores e tutores, e atividades extraclasses.
