This article seeks to highlight the relationship between black protagonism in the production of knowledge, social justice and scientific events in the librarian-informational field, from the editions of the National and International Meeting of Black and Anti-racist Librarians. Considered the first event in the librarianship-informational field related to the anti-racist struggle and racial and epistemic justice, the event features the intellectuality and scientific production of black librarians, but includes anti-racist librarians, whose ethnic-racial belonging can be white, indigenous, blacks and others. At the methodological level, this research is an exploratory and descriptive study, with a qualitative approach that analyzed the content of conferences, lectures, workshops and presentations of works contained in the editions of the event, available in digital and audiovisual form on the websites and on facebook. of the event, and on the Youtube channel of the School of Information Science, Federal University of Minas Gerais. In its theoretical-descriptive structure, the article addresses the black presence in three scientific events in the area: Brazilian Congress of Librarianship, Documentation and Information Science (CBBD), National Meeting of Research in Information Science (ENANCIB) and Library Panel in Santa Catarina. It describes the history, themes and approaches addressed in both editions of the Meeting. Finally, the final considerations of the study.
