Summary: This article revisits the history of hypertext and considers the non-li-near reading as a reading way relationed with as newspapers and magazines. New technologies bring new ways of reading, but inherited some characteristics of traditional medias, that cause certain sensation of familiarity on the reader. By this way, a qualitative search was implemented, analyzing behavior and gesture of newspapers readers when they read on screen. This search presumed that printed hypertext reader reconfigures the way of reading, making some adaptations to read on the screen of the computer. At this point of view, the act of browsing in printed hypertexts helps comprehension and navigation of digital hypertext, something that school can helps too.

Las nuevas tecnologías traen nuevas formas de leer que, no obstante, heredan características de soportes más antiguos, lo que traería cierta sensación de familiaridad al lector. Siendo así, a partir de la investigación cualitativa que observó los compartimientos y gestos de lectura de lectores de impresos en la imagen de la pantalla, se presume que el lector del hipertexto impreso reconfigura sus modos de leer, adaptándose a la lectura en ordenador. Desde ese punto de vista, ser experto en hipertextos impresos ayuda en la compresión y en la negación de hipertextos digitales, algo que la escuela puede ayudar a facilitar.Este trabalho traça uma história do hipertexto e considera a leitura não linear como um modo de ler também relacionado a suportes como o jornal e as revistas impressos e digitais. As novas tecnologias trazem novas formas de ler que, no entanto, herdam características de suportes mais antigos, o que trataria certa sensação de familiaridade ao leitor. Sendo assim, a partir de pesquisa qualitativa que observou os comportamentos e gestos de leitura de impressos na lide com a tela, presume-se que o leitor do hipertexto impresso reconfigura seus modos de ler de maneira a se adaptar à leitura em computador.
