The state of Mato Grosso is the country's largest soy producer, which, in turn, prevails as the main agricultural commodity of the local economy. Given this scenario, the present study aims to analyze the impacts of transporting soybeans through Combinations of Cargo Vehicles on bridges in the state. Throughout the text is conceptualized the evolution of the vehicle fleet, the expansion of grain production in the Mato Grosso territory, the changes in the projects of reinforced concrete bridges, the main cargo vehicles used in the Brazilian territory, as well as the history of the Brazilian and state road transport. Through the analysis of the trains types loading and existing Combinations of Cargo Vehicles, it is possible to conclude that the normative train type does not portray the current situation of cargo transport, and in all cases, the requesting efforts analyzed of the Combinations of Cargo Vehicles exceeded the vehicle type of ABNT NBR 7188 (2013), a fact that demonstrates the importance of discussing the subject at the state and national levels.
