Observância da ABNT NBR 8160/1999 e análise comparativa entre projetos e execução de obras da construção civil

In civil construction, the Hydraulic and Sanitary Building System (SPHS) must be one of the components that require greater care, preventing future pathologies ranging from clogs to large leaks. In this way, the proper functioning of sanitary facilities is essential throughout the life of the building and the emergence of pathologies in these systems is a common problem, which has as one of the main causes, non-compliance with project standards. The objective of the present work was to verify the observance of the ABNT NBR 8160/1999 standard in the elaboration and execution of sanitary installations in civil construction works carried out in the region of Vale do Araguaia. Four projects were evaluated, three residential and one for renovation of a dental clinic. In all analyses, problems of non-compliance with the recommendations of the ABNT NBR 8160/1999 standard were detected, both in the projects and in the execution of the proposed routes. After a thorough evaluation, it was possible to conclude that there is a mismatch between what is in the project and its execution. The execution teams showed a clear lack of knowledge, added to the low performance for totally disregarding the problems that can result from the poor execution of the sanitary system. It is necessary to consider the need for training and updating of professionals in the area, especially those responsible for the execution of the work, to redefine the importance of a well-executed work for the prevention of future pathologies.
