Resumo: Sexually transmitted diseases are a public health problem and are among the top five search for causes medical attention, and trichomoniasis non-viral sexually transmitted disease most common in the world. The analysis of the proposal in the incidence of trichomoniasis in the female population, primary health care, justified by the importance of trichomoniasis on the national scene. The consequences brought by trichomoniasis complications include the reproductive tract, cervix cancer, infections after hysterectomy, atypical pelvic inflammatory disease and infertility. The objective of the research was to determine the incidence of the protozoan Trichomonas vaginalis in women seeking care and gynecological nursing consultations in Basic Health Units and establish an epidemiological profile of the disease. It conducted a prospective cross-sectional study with 128 women who sought help for realization of the Pap test in the health units of the municipality of Sinop family, from November 2014 to May 2015. A vaginal secretion sample to be analyzed later in the Parasitology Laboratory of the Federal University of Mato Grosso, University Campus of Sinop, with parasite identification purpose. In the study, we obtained the incidence of 3.91% cases of trichomoniasis. Despite the low incidence in this study, compared with the national incidence, for example, one should not disregard the importance of trichomoniasis. In the study, it was also observed: (i) the age group incident for trichomoniasis, and in its entirety the adult women (25 to 59 years), totaling 3.91% of cases; (ii) the color / race were more common white and brown, with 1.56% of cases each; (iii) women in marital status were the most incidents, with 3.125% of cases; (iv) natural women in the South region were 1.56% of cases, the most incidentes. The incidence of trichomoniasis was compared among women with risk factors, where it was found that women who reported no use of condoms are the most events (2.34% of the sample) and a higher incidence of trichomoniasis was between group of women who had only one sexual partner during one year (2.34% of the sample). In the study also it was found that 2/5 of women with trichomoniasis (1.56% of the total sample) are symptomatic as to dyspareunia and / or sinusorragia and 3/5 (2.34% of the total sample) had abuse vaginal discharge. Nursing plays an important role in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of trichomoniasis. In the routine of UBS is the professional nursing that closely monitors the population coverage of units, realizing your profile and can act in preventing the disease focusing health education actions in the risk factors for the disease, diagnosis and treatment.

As sequelas trazidas pela tricomoníase incluem as complicações no trato reprodutivo, neoplasia cervical, infecções pós histerectomia, doença inflamatória pélvica atípica e infertilidade.
