Congestion, excess of private vehicles, overcrowding of public transport among other problems are reflections of the irregular expansion of cities, which creates difficulty in accessibility and worsens urban mobility as a whole. In this sense, the sustainable vision of urban mobility presents itself as a way out of such adversities. Among its palliative actions is the appeal for the use of the bicycle, since it is an active transport, it does not pollute the environment and its use has numerous benefits to the health and well-being of people. In view of this, when noticing the lack of effective agendas encouraging the use of bicycles in the city of Cuiabá, in this work it was proposed to outline the profile of the Cuiabá cyclist in order to substantiate the decision-making of public agents and transport managers, thus enabling the resolution of problems experienced by the adopted target audience. This survey was carried out through an electronic questionnaire, which was made available on Google Forms, and disseminated through WhatsApp groups, Instagram and E-mails, and presented questions related to socioeconomic issues and tangents to the use of the bicycle as a means of transport, highlighting its main problems and motivations. It should be noted that there were 168 valid responses, which made it possible to develop the profile of Cuiaba cyclists.
