Resumo: O presente artigo procura, partindo da análise marxiana sobre a legislação fabril inglesa do século XIX, demonstrar como uma abordagem concreta da política para o trabalho no Brasil pode se inspirar nas determinações explicitadas no Livro I d’O Capital. Para tanto, percorre da normatização varguista à desregulamentação selvagem de Temer, demonstrando sumariamente os vínculos entre a acumulação de capital e as políticas de Estado para o trabalho no Brasil.
