Resumo: | Historically, narrators and other radio and TV journalists who broadcasts soccer in Brazil usually see the fans of a soccer team as a homogeneous group that goes to the stadium always with the same goal: to cheer for their team. A reading that does not correspond to the facts and that often complicates the work of press professionals, who without adequate information do not know how to deal with disputes originating within the same crowd on live broadcasts, for example. This article, therefore, has the pretentious goal of contributing to the work of the Brazilian sports chronicle corps. To understand better how soccer fans are made, it analyzes Botafogo-PB games under an anthropological perspective. In addition, it tries to show that quite different from an indivisible homogeneous group, the fans of the same teams are actually a set of territories that coexist in a same stand in a permanent state of negotiations and conflicts. |
