Conceptualization and Modeling of an Eco-efficient Multidisciplinary Laboratory for Educational Institutions

Resumo: Modern society yearns for technologies that promote sustainable development and rational use of resources essential to life and progress. The implementation of energy-efficient buildings is an alternative without controlling energy consumption to reduce greenhouse gases. The technologies used in green buildings, when inserted in educational institutions, can be explored by Engineering and Architecture courses, contributing to the theoretical and practical improvement of students, as well as their insertion in a coordinated and participatory green management process. The objective of this work was to conceptualize and model an Eco-efficient Multidisciplinary Laboratory for educational institutions. The idealized architectural party was based on constructive techniques and technological alternatives that aim to have less impact on the environment, such as, for example, the use of demolition wood, green roof, renewable energy generation systems and rain collection system. For the development of the three-dimensional model of the laboratory, the software Sketchup for Schools was chosen. The proposal of an eco-efficient multidisciplinary laboratory model is shown to be an instrument in favor of technical-scientific development, green economy, accessibility, promotion of culture and encouragement of teaching techniques in an innovative and versatile environment.

A implementação de edifícios energeticamente eficientes é uma alternativa no controle do consumo de energia para diminuição de gases causadores do efeito estufa. As tecnologias empregadas nos edifícios verdes, quando inseridos em instituições de ensino, podem ser exploradas por cursos de Engenharia e Arquitetura, contribuindo para o aprimoramento teórico-prático dos estudantes, bem como a inserção desses em um processo de gestão verde coordenada e participativa. Objetivou-se com este trabalho conceitualizar e modelar um Laboratório Multidisciplinar Ecoeficiente para instituições de ensino. O partido arquitetônico idealizado se pautou em técnicas construtivas e alternativas tecnológicas que visam menor impacto ao meio ambiente, como, por exemplo, uso de madeira de demolição, telhado verde, sistemas de geração de energia renovável e sistema de coleta pluvial. Para o desenvolvimento do modelo tridimensional do laboratório, optou-se pelo software Sketchup for Schools.
