A Rede tem sua gênese dentro da II Conferência Nacional Políticas para as Mulheres, na qual se sobressaía a identidade religiosa das mulheres de religiões de matriz africana e indígenas que se lançavam em um projeto de pleitear políticas públicas para o segmento. O objetivo do estudo, portanto, foi conhecer a atuação dessas mulheres no processo de constituição como sujeito político, identificando as suas práticas de atuação política e coletiva, e procurando conhecer como esse sujeito vem se afirmando, quais as suas características e tensões, quais estratégias e instrumentos utilizam dentro dessa atuação e qual o perfil de suas integrantes. O intuito também foi conhecer, dentro da ação política do grupo, quais as principais pautas de reivindicação das mulheres de terreiro, como o combate à intolerância religiosa na sociedade, através do diálogo com o poder público.CNPqThis dissertation is the result of research with a group of women devotees of Afrobrazilian religions that is organized politically through the Rede de Mulheres de Terreiro de Pernambuco. The Rede has its genesis in the II National Policy Conference for Women, which jutted the religious identity of women from indigenous and African religions that cast on a project to claim public policies for the sector. The aim of the study therefore was to determine the role of these women in the constitution as a political subject process, identifying their political practices and collective action, and seeking to know how this guy has been saying, what are their characteristics and tensions, which strategies and instruments used within this role and what the profile of its members.
