Defesa: Curitiba, 03/03/2015Inclui referênciasÁrea de concentração: Espaço, sociedade e ambienteResumo: Este estudo se volta para o conhecimento da essência do ser humano amazônico, seus sentidos e pontos de vista sobre um recurso natural efetivo à vida: a água. Com o objetivo principal de conhecer como se constituem os sentidos em comunidades amazônicas, as percepções dos sujeitos e suas representações sociais sobre a importância, o uso e a preservação da água, fez-se uma pesquisa qualitativa, sob o quadro teórico da abordagem da Geografia Cultural, em sua vertente fenomenológica, cuja interface permeou a Geografia Sociocultural. A Tese defendida é que a gestão da água, outorgas e/ou novos empreendimentos em rios Amazônicos devem levar em conta os sentidos culturalmente construídos nessas comunidades. O recorte espacial deste estudo são 06 (seis) comunidades inseridas em duas cidades do Estado de Rondônia: Porto Velho e Guajará-Mirim. As comunidades portovelhenses analisadas foram: Agrovila, São Sebastião, Maravilha e Niterói (na margem esquerda do Rio Madeira - área rural) e a comunidade do Bairro Triângulo (margem direita do Rio Madeira - área urbana). A comunidade guajaramirense escolhida para essa análise é formada por pescadores do bairro Triângulo (área urbana) às margens do Rio Mamoré, na fronteira Brasil/Bolívia. Todas as comunidades objeto da pesquisa apresentam paisagens culturais que, embora existam em constante fluxo de troca de saberes com o urbano, insistem e permanecem na experiência de vida com sentidos e significados construídos, especializados ou reavaliados à margem dos rios. Para atingir o objetivo proposto, utilizaram-se para a coleta de dados os seguintes instrumentos: a entrevista não estruturada e os mapas mentais. Na condução das entrevistas e análise das narrativas, utilizou-se o método da Grounded Theory, com auxílio do ATLAS/ti. Na análise dos mapas mentais, utilizou-se a metodologia Kozel. Fez-se, a partir daí, uma Geografia partindo do campo da subjetividade humana e se analisou o papel das experiências como objeto de representação do espaço, construção das paisagens culturais, com a compreensão do lugar e a valorização da água pelo ser humano em suas diversas relações. Na totalidade deste estudo, com o auxílio dessa Geografia humanizada, notou-se que as comunidades amazônicas observadas expuseram sentidos íntimos em relação às águas que constituem suas identidades e, a partir desses sentidos, identificaram as conexões entre os fenômenos sociais e as problemáticas que cercam a sua água, o seu mundo vivido. Com cognições claras sobre o papel da água em suas vidas, essas comunidades demonstraram ter noções evidentes de preservação, com o cuidado e uso dessas águas. No entanto, no momento da pesquisa, se mostram abaladas por interferências externas que as deixam compassivas, repletas de sentimentos confusos, na incapacidade de resolverem tais problemas, demonstraram ser comunidades em crise de sentidos que vivem lógicas de temor e preocupação em relação à água que constitui o seu lugar. Observou-se, também, que são essas lógicas de comunidade que lhes possibilitam a união, o enfrentamento e a busca permanente por soluções. Palavras-chave: Sentido. Água. Amazônia. Lógica de comunidade.Abstract: This study turns to the knowledge of the essence of the Amazonian human being, his senses and his views on a natural resource effective to life: water. With the main objective of observing as are the senses are constituted in Amazonian communities, the perception of the subjects and their social representations about the importance, the use and preservation of water, we made a qualitative research, under the theoretical framework of the Cultural Geography approach in its slope phenomenological, with Sociocultural Geography interface. The thesis defended is that the management of water, licenses and / or new developments in the Amazonian rivers should take into account the senses culturally constructed in these communities. The spatial area of this study are six (06) communities inserted in two cities of the State of Rondônia: Porto Velho and Guajará-Mirim. The portovelhenses communities were Agrovila, São Sebastião, Maravilha and Niterói (on the left bank of the Madeira River - rural area) and the Triangle community (right bank of the Madeira River - urban area). The community of Guajará-Mirim chosen for this analysis consists of anglers in the Triangle community (urban area) on the banks of the Mamore River, in the bordering Brazil / Bolivia. The communities, object of research, have cultural landscapes that while are in constant flow of knowledge exchange with the urban insist and remain in the life experience with built senses and meanings, skilled or reassessed the river banks. To reach that goal we used the following instruments of data?s collect: the unstructured interview and mental maps. In conducting the interviews and analysis of the narratives, we used the method of Grounded Theory, using the software ATLAS /ti. In the analysis of mental maps, we used the Kozel methodology. We did, from there, Geography from the field of human subjectivity and analyzed the role of experience as a representation of the object space, construction of cultural landscapes, with the understanding of the place and the enhancement of water by humans in their various relationships. In total this study, with the help of this humanized Geography, we can note that the observed Amazonian communities exposed intimate senses in relation to waters that constitute their identities and, through these senses, identified the connections between social phenomena and problems surrounding the their water, their world lived. With clear notions about the role of water in their lives, these communities demonstrated clear notions of preservation, with the care and use of these waters. However, during this study, they showed themselves shaken by external interference that leave themselves compassionate, full of mixed feelings in complete inability to solve such problems, communities in crisis of senses e they present the logic of fear and concern with water, which is the their place. We observed also that are these logical of community enabling them to the union, the confrontation and the constant search for solutions. Keywords: Sense. Water. Amazon.
