Defesa: Curitiba, 18/04/2017Inclui referências : f. 163-170Resumo: A presente dissertação tem o objetivo de realizar uma reflexão acerca do Mercurius alquímico tendo como pano de fundo a Alquimia no contexto da psicologia analítica. Para realizar esta reflexão, tornou-se necessário o resgate do diálogo interdisciplinar característico do pensamento junguiano como forma de ampliação de nossa compreensão tanto da Alquimia de modo geral, quanto da importância desta para a psicologia analítica. Considerada essa interdisciplinaridade constitutiva da psicologia analítica, o trajeto realizado buscou um resgate do aspecto experiencial do símbolo a partir de conceitos da fenomenologia, e o aspecto do símbolo como elemento constitutivo para a elaboração de um conhecimento objetivo a respeito do mundo. A partir deste aspecto duplo do símbolo, tornou-se possível a compreensão do modo particular de vinculação com o mundo que constitui o pensamento hermético e de que modo esse pensamento, como visão de mundo, aparece expresso na simbologia da Alquimia como vinculação com o mundo pleno de sentido. A partir disso, foi possível um retorno à figura de Hermes e seus desdobramentos históricos, como Hermes-Thoth e Hermes Trimegisto, cujos aspectos divinos se encontram manifestos na substância alquímica do Mercurius. O aspecto multifacetado do Mercurius nos permite entrever de que modo a Alquimia em Carl Gustav Jung revela a possibilidade de um resgate de sentido na sua vinculação com o mundo, expresso no símbolo, como modo de recondução do homem moderno às suas raízes, enfatizando o caráter vivo do significado do símbolo e da metáfora como modos de aprofundamento e de abertura à experiência de modo geral. Palavras-chave: Psicologia analítica; Alquimia; Imaginação; Hermetismo; Símbolo.Abstract: This dissertation aims to serve as a reflection on the alchemical Mercurius within the background of the relationship between Alchemy and analytical psychology. In order to achieve this, it became necessary to retrieve the interdisciplinary dialogue that embodies Junguian thought as a means to amplify our understanding of Alchemy in general, and its importance within the context of analytical psychology. Having considered this inherent interdisciplinary character, the undertaken path set to recover the experiential aspect of the symbol by using concepts derived from phenomenology, and the symbol as a central means of achieving an objective knowledge of the world. From this double aspect of the symbol, it became possible to understand the way in which hermetic thought presents itself as a means of a particular way of experiencing the world and the particular way in which, as a worldview, expresses itself in alchemical symbols as a meaningful connection between man and world. The return to Hermes and its historical developments as Hermes-Thoth and Hermes Trimegistus, understood as expressions of the symbolic link between man and world, and whose divine aspects are manifested in the alchemical substance Mercurius. The multifaceted aspect of Mercurius allows to appreciate in which way Alchemy presents itself as a way of salvaging meaning within the context of Junguian thought. It reveals the possibility of a return of meaning by a reconnection to the world, as expressed within the symbol, as a way for modern man to return to his roots, by emphasizing the living characters of symbolic and metaphoric meaning as means of a deepening and an opening to lived experience in general.
