Defesa: Curitiba, 03/07/2012Inclui referênciasResumo: As áreas cársticas são naturalmente ambientes frágeis, o que tem despertado o interesse de vários pesquisadores de diversas áreas. Sobretudo no que se relaciona a compreensão dos seus aspectos físicos e geológicos, que dizem respeito às questões geotécnicas, do uso e ocupação do solo, e das condições hidrogeológicas. Mais recentemente, sobre o geoturismo. No entanto, poucas têm sido as pesquisas que abordam os aspectos culturais e as representações sociais dos diversos atores dessas áreas. Deste modo, instigados em identificar e compreender as condições em que se encontram porções dos territórios cársticos da Região Metropolitana de Curitiba, e visando analisar a relação existente, entre esses espaços, comunidades locais e como a educação se insere neste contexto, definimos como objetivo geral, identificar e analisar a problemática socioambiental e socioespacial, relacionada à região carstica curitibana a partir da Teoria das Representações Sociais, de moradores, gestores públicos e professores. Em termos de embasamento teórico e metodológico, optamos pela Teoria das Representações Sociais. Utilizamos também como abordagem complementar, a Teoria do Núcleo Central, uma vez que esta proporciona descrições mais detalhadas e explicações sobre o funcionamento de certas estruturas de forma compatível com a teoria geral das representações sociais. As estratégias metodológicas utilizadas foram: a pesquisa de campo, a aplicação de questionários a quatrocentos e vinte e cinco professores da rede municipal e estadual de ensino, entrevistas com sete gestores e noventa moradores da área. Fazem parte da pesquisa, porções dos municípios de Almirante Tamandaré, Bocaiúva do Sul, Campo Largo, Campo Magro, Colombo, Itaperuçu e Rio Branco do Sul. Os resultados da pesquisa revelaram o profundo sentimento de abandono em que vivem os moradores, assim como, os profundos laços identitários que os unem ao território, que é compreendido como a base da vida e se relaciona intimamente com o sentimento de pertinência ao lugar. A partir de nossas análises, verificamos que não há representações sobre o carste e sua fragilidade. Deste modo, apontamos para a necessidade de uma educação socioespacial, que possa contribuir para um planejamento socioambiental e socioespacial mais eficaz, e para a necessidade de novos estudos que se relacionem com o planejamento socioambiental e a educação como forma de compreender a cultura local, os anseios e as necessidades das comunidades, como uma possibilidade de buscar a transformação socioambiental e socioespacial das territorialidades. Geografia CulturalAbstract: The Karst areas are naturally delicate environments, which has attracted the interest of many researchers from various areas of study. Especially as it relates to understanding their physical and geological aspects, which relate to geotechnical issues, the soil use and occupation, and hydrogeological conditions, more recently, on geotourism. However, there have been few researches that address the cultural and social representations of the various actors in those areas. Thus, urged to identify and understand the conditions of portions of the Karst areas of the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba, and order to analyze the relationship between these spaces, local communities and how education falls into this context. Defined as general purpose, identify and analyze the socioenvironmental, and socio-spacial issue of the Karstic region of Curitiba from the Social Representation Theory, of residents, public administrators and teachers. In terms of theoretical and methodological approach opted for the Theory of Social Representations. Also used as a complementary approach, the Central Nucleus Theory, since it provides more detailed descriptions and explanations on the functioning of certain structures in a manner compatible with the general theory of social representations. The methodological strategies used were: field research, the application of questionnaires to four hundred twenty-five teachers of the municipal and state schools, interviews with seven public administrators and ninety seven residents of the area. Are part of the research, portions of the municipalities of Almirante Tamandaré, Bocaiúva do Sul, Campo Largo, Campo Magro, Colombo, Itaperuçu and Rio Branco do Sul. The survey results revealed the profound sense of abandonment experienced by the residents, deep identity ties that bind them to the territory, which is understood as the basis for life and is closely related to the feeling of belonging to place. From our analyzes, found that there aren't representations about the Karst and its fragility. Thus, we point to the necessity for a socio-spacial education, which may contribute to socialenvironmental and socio-spacial planning more effective. So, verified to the necessity for new studies that relate to socialenvironmental planning, and education in order to understand the local culture , the expectations and community needs, as an opportunity to seek the transformation of socialenvironmental and socio-spacial of the territorialities.
