Resumo: The use of seeds with high quality is an essential factor in uniform and vigorous seedling establishment of vegetable crops. The maximum physiological quality of seeds is reached at the time of physiological maturity, ie when they have a maximum weight of dry matter and high potential for germination and vigor. The objective of this study was to evaluate the physiological characteristics of pepper seeds finger-to-girl yellow extracted from fruits kept in different time post-harvest period (0, 5, 10, 15 and 20 days). For each rest period were performed germination, first count, electrical conductivity, water content, dry matter weight of 100 seeds, emergence and seedling emergence speed index. The experiment was conducted in a completely randomized design, with four repetitions. From the results it can be concluded that the post-harvest period of the fruits of pepper finger-to-girl yellow for 10 days enabled the seeds reached physiological maturity, gaining maximum germination and maximum vigor. The emergence and vigor of pepper fruits with seeds reduces the post-harvest period by more than 10 days.

Universidade Federal Rural da Amazônia/UFRA2016-04-14info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://ajaes.ufra.edu.br/index.php/ajaes/article/view/2129Amazonian Journal of Agricultural Sciences Journal of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences; Vol 58 No 4 (2015): RCA; 427-433Revista de Ciências Agrárias Amazonian Journal of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences; v. 58 n. 4 (2015): RCA; 427-4332177-87601517-591Xreponame:Revista de Ciências Agrárias (Belém.
