Resumo: | This work aims to characterize the inhibitory activity of neem oil (Azadirachta indica A. Juss.) And analyze comparatively their effects. The oil obtained was prepared concentrations of 0.5, 1.0, 1.5 and 3.0%, the methyl ether as an eluent and tested for germination seed, radicle and hypocotyl weed of pasture area grown, malice (Mimosa pudica) and kills pasture (Senna obtusifolia). The oil of the studied species showed inhibitory activity at intensities that varied depending on the concentration of oil, the recipient plant and the plant factor analyzed. The promoted effect on the germination of seeds and the development of hypocotyl indicated linear trend, while for the radicle was observed quadratic trend. Seed germination and radicle were factors most strongly inhibited by oil. The intensities of inhibitions were positively associated with concentration, with maximum inhibition observed at 3.0%. Comparatively, kills pasture was the receiving species more sensitive to the effects of neem oil, notably in relation to seed germination, seedling development and when, in that order, differences of up to 52 and 80% were recorded. |

Universidade Federal Rural da Amazônia/UFRA2011-03-11info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://ajaes.ufra.edu.br/index.php/ajaes/article/view/125Amazonian Journal of Agricultural Sciences Journal of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences; Vol 52 No 1 (2009): RCA; 79-86Revista de Ciências Agrárias Amazonian Journal of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences; v. 52 n. 1 (2009): RCA; 79-862177-87601517-591Xreponame:Revista de Ciências Agrárias (Belém.
