Resumo: Classified by the contemporary political thought as a novelty unique in human history and is regarded as emblematic example of the erosion of political, totalitarian phenomenon provoked controversy regarding the terms used in the process of understanding. For example, when it stated that its ultimate goal was "to transform human nature," this expression noise caused discomfort to the ears of those who tuned in to the metaphysical tradition, have always defined human nature as an unchanging essence. This article discusses and shows the meaning and scope of that term in contemporary political thought, demystifying it of its metaphysical origin.

Por exemplo, quando se afirmou que o seu objetivo supremo era “transformar a natureza humana”, essa expressão causou ruído desconfortável aos ouvidos daqueles que, sintonizados à tradição metafísica, sempre definiram a natureza humana como uma essência imutável.
