Resumo: This study focuses on the families of people suffering from mental disorders. It aims to identify how family members perceive current treatment site (Psychosocial Care Center). Using a qualitative approach, we interviewed relatives and constructed the methodological procedures through semistructured interviews. The discourses collected made possible for us to find out categories that portray the predicament of families trying to cope with mental disorders as they show the expectations and drawbacks by the treatment site.

Tiene como objetivo identificar como los familiares perciben el actual local de tratamiento (Núcleo de Atención Psicosocial). A partir del abordaje cualitativo de investigación, entrevistamos a los familiares y construimos los procedimientos metodológicos a través de entrevistas semiestructuradas. Los resultados recogidos nos posibilitaron constatar categorías que traducen el drama de las familias en el convivir con el transtorno mental, así como traen la esperanza y la desesperanza depositadas en el local de tratamiento.Este estudo enfoca a família de pessoas acometidas pelo transtorno mental. Tem como objetivo identificar como os familiares percebem o atual local de tratamento (Núcleo de Atenção Psicossocial). A partir da abordagem qualitativa de pesquisa, entrevistamos os familiares e construímos os procedimentos metodológicos através de entrevistas semi-estruturadas.
