Resumo: Parody/carnavalization and poetic function in the invention of Brazil. The conception of parody/carnavalization by Mikhail Bakthin and the poetry function, according to Roman Jackbson are the theoric bases that keep our analysis of the TV-show The invention of Brazil. In general, the works which approach historic phases follow an 'educative' line centred in the verosimilitude of naturalism in the language’s emotive function and makes possible the emotional relief process. This program goes in the opposite direction, because it presents the true, it inquires every time, and it remembers the television viewer that every version is always an ideologic position faced with world instead. The language's poetic function, which shows us the difference between this work and other productions; it starts out with a legend, changes roles and leaves the television viewers with more questions about the true history of our past published by official historians.

La concepción de parodia/carnavalización de Mikhail Bakhtin y la función poética, según el pensamiento de Román Jakobson, son la teorías que fundamentan nuestro análisis de la miniserie La invención de Brasil. Por lo general, las obras que enfocan momentos históricos siguen una línea "educativa" centrada en la verosimilitud, en el naturalismo, y en la función emotiva del lenguaje, que posibilita el proceso catártico. Esta miniserie va en contramano, pues en lugar de presentar verdades absolutas, indaga todo el tiempo, recordando al televidente que toda la versión es siempre una posición ideológica frente al mundo. La función poética del lenguaje, que juega con el mensaje, es una presencia constante que establece relaciones de momentos diferentes de nuestra historia. La parodia/canavalización es otro aspecto que enseña las diferencias entre esa obra y otras producciones; parte de una leyenda e invierte roles, dejando al televidente con más inquietudes que certidumbres sobre nuestro pasado pregonado por la historia oficial.A concepção de paródia/carnavalização de Mikhail Bakhtin e a função poética, conforme a concepção de Roman Jakobson, são as teorias que fundamentam a nossa análise da minissérie A invenção do Brasil. No geral, as obras que abordam momentos históricos seguem uma linha "educativa", centrada na verossimilhança, no naturalismo, e na função emotiva da linguagem, que possibilita o processo catártico. Essa minissérie vai na contra-mão, pois no lugar de apresentar verdades absolutas, indaga o tempo inteiro, lembrando ao telespectador que toda versão é sempre uma posição ideológica diante do mundo. A função poética da linguagem, que brinca com a mensagem, é uma presença constante, fazendo relações de momentos diferentes de nossa história.
