Resumo: The purpose of this article is to investigate how the relationship between religion and consumption occurs in the discursive practices of the Terra Mystica portal, a virtual store identified with Afro-Brazilian religiosity. To this end, we adopted the French School Discourse Analysis methodology, investigating the process of producing meanings that enables this discourse to legitimize its speech both in the religious sphere and in consumer practices. We found that in this discourse, religion and consumption become the same source of access to the experience with the transcendent.

Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul2021-08-02info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionAnálise do Discursoapplication/pdfhttps://seer.ufrgs.br/index.php/intexto/article/view/11067710.19132/1807-8583202152.110677Intexto; No. 52 (2021); 110677Intexto; Núm. 52 (2021); 110677Intexto; No. 52 (2021); 110677Intexto; N. 52 (2021); 110677Intexto; n. 52 (2021); 1106771807-8583reponame:Intexto (Porto Alegre)instname:Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS)instacron:UFRGSporhttps://seer.ufrgs.br/index.php/intexto/article/view/110677/63773Copyright (c) 2021 Ronivaldo Moreira De Souza, Maurício Ribeiro da Silva, Vânia de Toledo Pizahttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessDe Souza, Ronivaldo MoreiraSilva, Maurício Ribeiro daPiza, Vânia de Toledo2023-02-06T12:21:04Zoai:seer.ufrgs.br:article/110677Revistahttp://seer.ufrgs.br/intextoONGhttp://seer.ufrgs.br/intexto/oai||intexto@ufrgs.br1807-85831807-8583opendoar:2023-02-06T12:21:04Intexto (Porto Alegre) - Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS)false
