Resumo: | In previous works, many characteristics of the Orkut web site of virtual relationship (http://www.orkut.com) has been analyzed by the means of pre-defined categories of the postmodernity like, as an example, the glamorization of transgression. This article specifically deals with the tribalism category and its inherent characteristics of fragmentation, ephemerality, and hedonism, as Maffesoli (2001) defines it. Being Orkut a computational tool for communication and interpersonal interaction, fruit of this time, this analysis seems to be relevant to clarify aspects currently observed in the social and cultural relations, especially in Brazil. |

Este artículo aborda especificamente la categoría del tribalismo - y sus inerentes características de fragmentación, efemeridad y hedonismo – conforme Maffesoli (2001) lo define. Siendo el Orkut una herramienta computacional para la comunicación y la interacción interpersonal, fruto de este tiempo, esta análisis és pertinente para aclarar los aspectos observados en la actualidad en las relaciones sociales y culturales, especialmente en el Brasil.Em trabalhos anteriores, várias características do sítio de relacionamentos virtuais Orkut (http://www.orkut.com) foram analisadas através de categorias pré-definidas da pósmodernidade como, por exemplo, a glamourização da transgressão. Este artigo aborda especificamente a categoria tribalismo – e suas inerentes características de fragmentação, efemeridade e hedonismo – conforme define Maffesoli (2001).
