Resumo: This article deals with pedagogyof monsters, brought up mainly in Jefrey Cohen's theses, in order to analyze adolescence.By doing this" it discusses narratives on the subject of "being adolescent" originated indisciplinary fields such as psychology and biology. The main goal of this paper is topresent the adolescent process as a cultural construction, as opposed to the naturalizationof adolescence. In such manner, it discusses the production of social and cultural identities,highlighting, in this production, the categories of gender and sexuality.

Desse modo, discute narrativas sobre o ser adolescente oriundasde campos disciplinares como a psicologia e a biologia. O objetivo central do textoé demonstrar o processo adolescente como uma construção cultural, em contraposiçãoà naturalização da adolescência.
