Social and economic development in the Brazilian northern end: a study in the Brazil / Venezuela

Resumo: The aim of this study was to analyze the influence of the Venezuelan market in social and economic development of the Municipality of Pacaraima (Brazil), taking into account the indigenous reserves. The development comes with the role of the relationship between state and society. This relationship is important both for the exchange of information as to the development of joint activities, which in turn cooperate in the formation of social capital, whose accumulation can lead to an expansion of economic efficiency, increased productivity of factors of production and economic growth . The methodology used was qualitative and quantitative as well as exploratory and descriptive. The procedures were used to study and survey the field survey. The techniques of data collection were semi-structured interview, applied with the owners of 30 companies registered and based in the city cited above. The quantitative data were applied to 20 closed questionnaire Brazilian tourists and 80 local residents. Later quantitative data were tabulated and organized into spreadsheet software (MSExcel) in which generated the result of the quantitative and qualitative data were analyzed using narrative analysis. In anticipation of the results it was evident that the migration of Brazilians to purchase consumer goods in Santa Elena (Venezuela) and the demarcation of indigenous lands negative influence on the socioeconomic development of the municipality.

A metodologia utilizada foi qualitativa e quantitativa, bem como exploratória e descritiva. Quanto aos procedimentos foram utilizado estudo de campo e levantamento survey. As técnicas de coleta de dados, utilizou entrevista semi estruturada aplicada com os proprietários de 30 empresas registradas e sediadas no Município já referido. Quanto aos dados quantitativo foram aplicado questionário fechado a 20 turista brasileiros e 80 moradores locais.Posteriormente os dados quantitativos obtidos foram tabulados e organizados em planilha eletrônica (MSEXCEL) no qual, gerou o resultado dos dados quantitativos e os dados qualitativos foram analisados por meio de análise narrativa.
