Resumo: The research Professional expectation of students of Agriculture Technical Courses of Farroupilha Federal Institute ? Campus S?o Vicente do Sul ? RS, linked to the Post- Graduation Program in Agricultural Education of Rural Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and aims to know the students expectations of Technical Courses of Agriculture Area integrated to secondary school after concluding this formation. After the elaboration of theoretical reference about the issue, of the documental analyze and of the application of semi structured interview, the tabulation of datum was realized, in order to subsidize the elaboration of present research. The theoretical conceptions mentioned, together with the resulting manifestation of the application of questionnaires, they allowed the construction of the clearer view regarding to the paths that the students of the technical courses of secondary school intend to follow after they have concluded the educational process. It was evident that the demand by the institution is assigned to factors such as: gratuitousness of the courses, the short period of professionalization, besides the recognized quality of teaching which concern in realization of the essential conditions of knowledge that brings many options for the students? reality. The research showed that most part of the students intends insertion immediate inside the work world, because this gives them the possibility subsidize to continue their formation. Moreover, the research sowed yet that the Institution develop stimulating activities for the return of students to their rural property, however the current crisis in the agricultural sector coupled with the encouragement of families in the search for a placement in the world of work ends up resulting in the abandonment of rural areas with no opportunity to apply their technologies. Thus, it contributes to the abandonment of rural areas.

Thus, it contributes to the abandonment of rural areas.A presente pesquisa, intitulada Expectativas profissionais dos alunos dos cursos t?cnicos de n?vel m?dio da ?rea de agropecu?ria do Campus S?o Vicente do Sul do Instituto Federal Farroupilha, RS, vincula-se ao Programa de P?s-Gradua??o em Educa??o Agr?cola da Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro e tem como prop?sito conhecer as expectativas dos alunos dos Cursos T?cnicos da ?rea de Agropecu?ria da modalidade Integrada ao Ensino M?dio, ap?s conclu?rem a forma??o t?cnica respectiva. A partir dos trabalhos de constru??o do referencial te?rico sobre o tema, da an?lise documental e da aplica??o de question?rios, foi realizada a tabula??o dos dados, os quais subsidiaram a elabora??o da presente pesquisa. As concep??es te?ricas mencionadas, juntamente com as manifesta??es resultantes da aplica??o dos question?rios, permitiram a constru??o de uma vis?o mais clara em rela??o aos caminhos que os alunos dos Cursos T?cnicos de N?vel M?dio pretendem seguir ap?s terem conclu?do o processo educacional. Ficou evidenciado que a procura pela institui??o ? atribu?da a fatores como: a gratuidade dos seus cursos, o curto per?odo para a profissionaliza??o, al?m da reconhecida qualidade do ensino, a qual interfere na consecu??o das condi??es essenciais de aprendizado e possibilita v?rias op??es para seus contextos. Percebeu-se que as pretens?es dos alunos, na sua grande maioria, s?o direcionadas para inser??o imediata no mercado de trabalho, o que lhes assegura a possibilidade de subsidiar a continuidade dos estudos. description The research Professional expectation of students of Agriculture Technical Courses of Farroupilha Federal Institute ? Campus S?o Vicente do Sul ? RS, linked to the Post- Graduation Program in Agricultural Education of Rural Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and aims to know the students expectations of Technical Courses of Agriculture Area integrated to secondary school after concluding this formation. After the elaboration of theoretical reference about the issue, of the documental analyze and of the application of semi structured interview, the tabulation of datum was realized, in order to subsidize the elaboration of present research. The theoretical conceptions mentioned, together with the resulting manifestation of the application of questionnaires, they allowed the construction of the clearer view regarding to the paths that the students of the technical courses of secondary school intend to follow after they have concluded the educational process. It was evident that the demand by the institution is assigned to factors such as: gratuitousness of the courses, the short period of professionalization, besides the recognized quality of teaching which concern in realization of the essential conditions of knowledge that brings many options for the students? reality. The research showed that most part of the students intends insertion immediate inside the work world, because this gives them the possibility subsidize to continue their formation. Moreover, the research sowed yet that the Institution develop stimulating activities for the return of students to their rural property, however the current crisis in the agricultural sector coupled with the encouragement of families in the search for a placement in the world of work ends up resulting in the abandonment of rural areas with no opportunity to apply their technologies. Thus, it contributes to the abandonment of rural areas.
