Resumo: The assay was performed in two stages, the first being to evaluate the efficacy and acaricide and pulicida and the second to assess the influence of the bath on the efficacy of a formulation containing the combination of fipronil 6.01% with permethrin 44.88%. Were used 36 dogs of Beagle breed and each layer was composed of 18 dogs divided into three groups. Each group consisted of six dogs. In the first phase, the dogs were divided into a control group and two treated. The control group received no treatment while the other two were treated, a group treated with a commercial formulation of fipronil and the other with a formulation of permethrin with fipronil. Dogs of the second were divided into 3 groups, one control group and two treated. The control group received no treatment while the other two received the same treatment with the formulation of permethrin with fipronil, differing from them only the presence or absence of the bath. The dogs of the control and treated groups of both stages were infested with 50 pairs of C. felis and 25 couples of R. sanguineus. The first step to tick infestations were performed on days -2, +5, +12, +19, +26, +33 and fleas on days -2 +5, +12, +19, +26, +33 +40 +47 +54. These days, +2, +7, +14, +21, +28, +35 evaluations were performed for ticks and days, +2, +7, +14, +21, +28, +35, +42 , +49, +56 for fleas.In the second stage for tick infestations were performed on days 0, +5, +12, +19, +26, +33 and fleas on days, 0, +5, +12, +19, +26, +33 , +40, +47 +54. These days, +2, +7, +14, +21, +28, +35 ratings for ticks and the days were accomplished, +2, +7, +14, +21, +28, +35, + 42, 49, 56 for fleas. The baths were always a day after assessment of parasite load, ie, on days +8, +15, +22, +29, +36, +43 and +50. The effectiveness of association permethrin with fipronil against ticks was greater than 90% for 28 days, greater than the commercial formulation, which was effective for 14 days. The influence of the bath on the acaricide efficacy was observed only from day +28, with efficiency higher in the group without bath than the group with bath. The combination tested, for fleas, was greater than 95% for 42 days, the commercial formulation is equivalent, no influence was observed in the bath pulicida efficacy of the tested combination.

A efic?cia da associa??o fipronil com permetrina contra carrapato foi superior a 90% por 28 dias, sendo superior a formula??o comercial, a qual foi eficaz por 14 dias. A influencia do banho na efic?cia carrapaticida s? foi observada a partir do dia +28, sendo a efic?cia no grupo sem banho superior ao grupo com banho.
