Resumo:	In attempt to study the epidemiologic caracteristics of bovine babesiosis in Goiania County, State of Goias, Brazil, a serological survey was carried out in this regions by the indirect Fluorescent antibody test (IFA) to determine Babesia bigemina and Babesia bovis infections using sera dilutions from 1:80 to 1:40.960. The 470 bovine sera samples used in this work was considered representative For the cattle populat ion from the studied area by statistical means. Out of 458 sera tested, 458 was posit ive to B. bigemina and 464 to B. bovis, then the prevalence of antibodies to B. bigemina found was 97,45% and to B. bovis 98,72%. The positive dilutions ranged from 1:80 to 1:20.460, and the 1:640 dilution was the most frequent encoutered either to B. bigemina and to B. bovis. None statistically significant difference had been detected between breed, sex or age with the detected antibody prevalences. The studied region was caracterized as an "enzootic stable" area with respect to babesiosis caused by B. bigemina and

A amostra utilizada, de 470 soros de bovinos, foi determinada estatisticamente como representativa do rebanho da ?rea estudada. Dos 470 soros testados, 458 Foram positivos para B. bigemina e 464 para B. bovis, assim a preval?ncia de anticorpos anti-B. bigemina encontrada foi de 97,45%, e anti-B. bovis de 98,72%. Os t?tulos positivos variaram de 1:80 a 1:20.480, sendo que o de maior freq??ncia foi 1:640, tanto para B. bigemina quanto para B. bovis. N?o foi detectada nenhuma diferen?a esteristicamente significativa entre ra?a, sexo e idade com rela??o ?s preval?ncias de anticorpos. description	In attempt to study the epidemiologic caracteristics of bovine babesiosis in Goiania County, State of Goias, Brazil, a serological survey was carried out in this regions by the indirect Fluorescent antibody test (IFA) to determine Babesia bigemina and Babesia bovis infections using sera dilutions from 1:80 to 1:40.960. The 470 bovine sera samples used in this work was considered representative For the cattle populat ion from the studied area by statistical means. Out of 458 sera tested, 458 was posit ive to B. bigemina and 464 to B. bovis, then the prevalence of antibodies to B. bigemina found was 97,45% and to B. bovis 98,72%. The positive dilutions ranged from 1:80 to 1:20.460, and the 1:640 dilution was the most frequent encoutered either to B. bigemina and to B. bovis. None statistically significant difference had been detected between breed, sex or age with the detected antibody prevalences. The studied region was caracterized as an "enzootic stable" area with respect to babesiosis caused by B. bigemina and
