Resumo: Enviromental Protected Area South Coast Sul is one Protection Areas with serious problems about its implementation. An ineffi cient management added to environmental unconsciousness by the visitors and local community has deeply degraded its ecosystems. In attention to that situation, this work intended to show sustainability indicators to offer subsides to the manegement of tourism at this planning unit. The used methodology was proposed by OCDE (Organization to Cooperation and Economic Development), by the construction of Pression-State-Impact-Response (PEIR) indicators matrix. The systemic perspective was necessary to elaborate that monitoring tool, which will help planning and administrate the tourism, considering local community needs and all complexity of the interaction between APA components. In conclusion, indicators matrix are a important tool for helping Park administration in menegement plan elaboration, witch nowadays have no efficient management tools.

A defi ciente gestão aliada à falta de sensibilização ambiental dos visitantes e da comunidade local tem degradado seus ecossistemas. Neste sentido, a pesquisa objetivou selecionar indicadores de sustentabilidade para subsidiar a gestão do turismo nessa unidade de planejamento. A metodologia usada foi proposta pela Organization to Cooperation and Economic Development (OCDE), a partir da construção da matriz de indicadores Pressão-Estado-Impacto-Resposta (PEIR). A perspectiva sistêmica foi essencial para elaborar esta ferramenta de monitoramento, a qual irá contribuir para o planejamento e gestão do turismo, considerando as necessidades das comunidades locais e toda a complexidade da interação entre os componentes da APA.
