Resumo: RESUMO: Seguindo a trajetória da personagem principal, Arandir, objetiva-se, neste trabalho, identificar e refletir sobre os modos como a ironia perpassa O beijo no asfalto, quais suas marcas, vestígios e funções para a significação desse texto dramático do teatrólogo brasileiro, Nelson Rodrigues. Acredita-se que questionar, provocar e problematizar tudo que aparentemente é estável são os alicerces da ironia rodriguiana. PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Nelson Rodrigues. O beijo no asfalto. Ironia.        ABSTRACT: By following the trajectory of the main character Arandir try to reflect about the ways in which irony cut across O beijo no asfalto, which its marks, its traces and its functions to the significance of this dramatic text rodriguiano. It is believed, here, that to question, provoke and problematizes everything that is apparently stable are the foundation of the irony of Nelson Rodrigues. KEYWORDS: Nelson Rodrigues.
